Let’s Talk About Sex! is a monthly evening gathering at The Floatation Centre in Halifax, where we create an intimate, open-hearted space to discuss the many dimensions of sex. Each month, we deep dive into a different theme — from Tantra & Sacred Sexuality to Desire, Pleasure, Attachment & beyond — with guided prompts to spark meaningful conversation. The discussion is co-hosted by my partner, TR Appleby (from Atlantic Tantra).

Theme: Dirty Talk & the Four Flavours of Fantasy (June 17, 7-9pm)
This month, we’re exploring the delicious terrain of erotic language and imagination- what we say, what we want to hear, and what turns us on in the theatre of the mind.
Dirty talk isn’t one thing- it’s a spectrum. Together, we’ll explore the Four Flavours of Fantasy: the different ways desire shows up in our inner worlds, from tender and romantic to playful, taboo, commanding, or deeply imaginative. We’ll unpack how fantasy can be a safe, creative space for self-discovery, and how language can become a bridge into deeper intimacy and embodiment.
We’ll share practical tools, reflections and lived insights on how to communicate desire more clearly, how to explore erotic expression with consent and attunement, and how to understand your own unique erotic “language.” This is about expanding pleasure, reducing shame, and getting curious about what actually turns you on.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event are not eligible for refunds or credits, except in rare circumstances at our discretion.
